About Us
Our Mission
The Legal Aid Society of Lubbock works to afford low income clients of the South Plains with first-rate legal assistance, advocacy, and quality counsel in matters of family and elder law at free and/or reduced cost.
Our History
The Legal Aid Society of Lubbock, Inc. began as a pro bono project of the Lubbock County Bar Association in order to address a recognized gap in legal services to low-income residents of Lubbock County. We were incorporated in 1974 and granted non-profit 501 (c)3 status that same year.
